Handmade Happy Aroma - How do you create a unique wedding gift essential oil for guests in Hong Kong?

Writer: ivanesCivanesC

A wedding is a celebration of love and commitment and a moment for Hong Kong newlyweds to express their gratitude and cherish their loved ones and friends. Wedding return gifts carry this love and become a symbol for guests to cherish this beautiful memory.

We were fortunate to assist a couple who were about to enter a new stage of life. We blended a wedding gift for each guest - 10 ml of essential oil. This is not only a gift, but also tailor-made for each guest. Every drop of essential oil is a gift from nature, containing a unique aroma and healing energy. By carefully blending a scent for each guest, we hope that this unique breath can evoke warm and beautiful memories, and become a mark of happiness that lingers in their hearts after the wedding.

This time, the newlyweds went through a total of 4 steps, and at the end, they mixed a unique scented oil for each guest.

Step 1: Essential Oil Learning Class - Explore the infinite possibilities of aroma

The newlyweds first attended a three-hour essential oil class. During the course, they learned the characteristics, effects and aroma levels of 30 essential oils, and preliminarily selected the appropriate aroma tone based on the personality characteristics of the guests. For example, lavender essential oil is suitable for relaxation, lemon essential oil brings vitality, etc.

This is not only a learning process, but also a feast for the senses, allowing the newlyweds to be creative in designing the return gifts.

Step 2: Smell the scent – Feel the emotional connection of the scent

Next, the newlyweds had a scent-smelling experience to feel the emotions and atmosphere brought by each scent. For example, woody scents give people a sense of calmness and security, while floral scents remind people of romance and happiness. This process allowed the newlyweds to better understand how scents are connected to emotions, laying the foundation for subsequent perfume-making.

"Scent is an emotional switch that can awaken people's memories." Scent has a profound and personal impact on our emotions.

Step 3: Learn perfume-making techniques - balance art and science

In the class, professional perfumers taught the newlyweds how to use the sense of layers to create fragrances, including the proportion of top notes (such as citrus), middle notes (such as floral and herbal), and base notes (such as wood and resin). This allows the newlyweds to incorporate their impressions of the guests into each bottle of fragrance oil, bringing a unique olfactory experience to the guests.

Step 4: Jointly blend fragrance - customize a unique fragrance for guests

The most interesting part is the process of the newlyweds preparing the return gifts together. When preparing the scented oil, they fine-tune the aroma formula according to the personality and preferences of each guest, making each bottle of scented oil a special gift for the guest. For example, they choose fresh herbal scents for friends who love nature and mix floral and fruity scents for friends who like a sweet atmosphere.

This process not only allows the newlyweds to invest more love in their marriage but also becomes a sweet memory between them.
